Cut a piece of 3 4 plywood at the dimensions shown in the diagram and secure it to the rafters with 1 1 4 screws.

Cover the surface with tar paper and secure it into place with staples. With the dog house built begin by taking the proper measurements with the tape measure. After being medically released from the army they are building an off grid homestead from the ground up. Install roofing felt first if you are using it.

Step 2 ridge board stud. Make sure you center the plywood piece to the rafters before inserting the screws into place. Apply only enough staples to hold the paper down until you are ready to add the shingles. Assuming the dog house is rectangular and fully constructed except for a roof measure the halfway point on both short ends and mark it.
