Once the trusses are constructed lift them into place and set them onto the top plates of the exterior walls just as you would a beam or joist.
Then add an insulation layer over it above which steel trusses can be installed easily.
Usually trusses are put 24 inches apart.
This is the method that we used to put up pre fab trusses for a small carport.
Roof trusses arrive at the jobsite on the bed of a large truck.
It can be nailed temporarily to each truss as the next truss is put in place.
As of the publishing of this post we have about 3 5ths of the trusses in place.

If you are installing it over an old roof then first of all be sure to repair any damages and remove faded old material.
Toe nail them into the top plate to secure them and then make sure they are braced laterally using blocking or long purlins.

To hold them up until the decking of the roof is placed on top a 12 foot 1 inch by 4 inch piece of lumber is used.
When lifting the trusses carefully onto the roof the easiest way is to have two people hoist it up to two other people.
